Speedway rider 'stable'

Cowling speedway rider Lee Complin is now conscious and talking with his family following his road crash last month.

The 23-year-old member of the Stoke Potters team was this week described as stable at Leeds General Infirmary.

His brother James has praised the hospital's neurology team for its "tremendous" care over the past few weeks.

Lee suffered serious injuries when his Subaru Impreza left the A629 at Flappit Springs, near Cullingworth, ending up on its roof.

James, writing on Lee's website, said: "Lee is now out of intensive care and fully conscious and looks to be well on the way to being his usual self."

Lee's website is leecomplin.co.uk.
